February

Uncle Hayride and Kaili

Helping Mom Hold Kaili
Adrian Holding Kaili
Took off Wednesday since Kaili's fever was not going away and he was super cranky and sick. Went to the doctor and was prescribed antibiotics. Friday morning he had a red patch on his chest. I observed it and it went away about an hour later. I thought maybe he's allergic but maybe he slept funny and just has a red mark. Saturday morning however, right after giving him his dose, he broke out all over his forehead, chest, legs, back and even the top of his head. I called the pharmacy and they said to stop giving it since it is probably a reaction to the amoxicillan. Then called the doctor, said to end antibiotics and just bring him in if the fever comes back. He's been sleeping a lot, still has a rash hours later, but seems okay otherwise. Fever hasn't come back and he's been home and relaxing all day.

Great Uncle Greg/Hayride is staying with us for two weeks. He's hoping to find a job locally but has other plans if not to move on to Pagosa Springs or Tennessee.

Adrian is such a talker! He's understanding jokes and sarcasm and teasing! He called me a 'giant meatball' today. I have no idea where he gets these things. He says 'girls drool and boys rule' and then explains that he's just teasing me. He's a funny guy!
He loves to play games to get things done. He still has his imaginary friends: Kermit(girl) Ogo(boy) Swiper also a fox(depends) Oscar the Fox(boy), and his baby dolls names are Keto and Kaili. His little snow leapard is CheeChee. He has a wild imagination and can play on his own or pretend with others. Tonight he was a pirate..."pirates are bad". Lately he's been pretending to be 'the bad guy'.

14 Weeks; 45 Months

Baby Kaili is getting so big! I love his big smile, his kicky legs and his squeals, how he grabs his toys and sticks everything in his mouth! He loves his brother and loves to watch everything he does. Adrian and I talk about what he'll teach his brother when he gets bigger. We talk about what toys he'll pass on to his bother :) Baby Kaili is grabbing at toys, transferring toys between hand. Taking his binky! Loves the Moby wrap and his Ergo carrier. Kaili is eating daily...usually cereal but he's tried bananas, sweet potatos, and avocado. He likes eating :)

Finally feeling better after taking antibiotics! Kaili seems to be getting better, although still a little congested. Adrian feeling better! It takes up to 6 weeks for little ones to get rid of the congestion.

Adrian is 45 months! Sounds so young...acts so old. Says "Mom 'shit' is a bad word." Yes son, it is. Please don't say it. Also "Hell" is a bad place so don' t say "What the hell?"

Barry still vegan! He also just started the P90X workout routine which is officially kicking his butt.

It's snowed outside on February 3rd!! Sprinkled a little last night too. Dad took Adrian sledding over the past weekend!!! Made it to family night last week despite the impending snow!! Drove home slowly though.

Preschool sign up for next year is coming up! We'll need $50 to hold a spot and then it will almost be a $1100 to $1500 for the year of Pre-K for either 3 or 4 days. We have to decide by February 15 what we'll do. I think that I'll ask for his birthday that instead of toys for Adrian, if people want to get him something to send a check to his preschool for next year's fund!!! He has one of every toy imaginable...and mom has no more space in the house. He loves Preschool and I love that he's getting the social interaction and the classroom routine and process down. He'll work more on Pre-K skills next year as he gets closer to Kindergarten the following year! Can you believe it because I can't!
