It snowed today. YES. IT WAS SNOWING TODAY! You heard me. It's not supposed to snow until Halloween (that's a CO tradition). It's the day of the year I dread the most, the cold icky winterous season has set in. Muddy, snowy shoes and floors and bottom of pants, staticky hair, scratchy sweaters, crazy drivers, dark evenings when I'm still working and have to still go home to make dinner, ick. I'm so not excited. Today was nice b/c the snow stopped and it didn't stick to the ground and it was big fluffy flakes...but otherwise, I dread most days of winter.
This morning I noticed it and showed Adrian. He babbled about it and looked at the grass as he was walking in it. It was barely sticking. He stared out the front window the entire ride to the babysitters at the snow. Very interesting stuff.
Today was my unit's retreat day! We toured some resource centers out here and then we did a group bonding activity at Dynamik Ceramix...painting pottery. I painted Adrian a Christmas present-he needed a piggy bank. It's Sssooooo Cute! I love it. What a great day for this activity too!
